Zawsze rozmawiaj z nieznajomym

Byłem z przyjaciółmi na lunchu, gdy zaczepił mnie cudzoziemiec. Chciał się dowiedzieć czy bistro uniwersyteckie, w którym jadamy jest ogólnodostępne. Oczywiście - powiedziałem - za pieniądze możesz kupić wszystko. W ten oto sposób poznałem fotografa Franka Biringera. Po kilku minutach rozmowy poznałem również powód jego pobytu w Krakowie oraz kilka z jego prac. Wraz z przyjaciółmi zaprosiliśmy go do stolika i to miłe, nieoczekiwane spotkanie zaowocowało tym wpisem.

Frank Biringer born in Saarbrücken, Germany, now lives in Norway. Last week he participated in the Michael Ackerman workshop arranged in Kraków by two Norwegian photographers Øyvind Hjelmen (www.oyvindhjelmen.com) and Catherine Cameron (www.catherinecameron.com) . They have been organizing workshops on the Norwegian island Stord for the last 5 years together with internationally known photographers (www.bathtubconversations.com). Michael Ackerman is represented by Galeri VU in Paris (www.galerie-vu.com). He has lived several years in Krakow and now lives in Berlin. So far he has published two books ("End Time City" and " Fiction"). His next book ("Half Life") is just about to be issued. The participants of Kraków's workshop were strolling around with cameras discovering the city streets and other normally hidden places. The results are here. Ladies and gentlemen!
